This one I call "crash and burn"

The type of client who comes in hot.

Usually, they'll need to get things done YESTERDAY. Everything will be delayed way too much and they're already focused on making sales starting from the next week.

I get the sentiment, I really do! The willingness to just finally get things done is a powerful driving force ⚡

So there's this initial hype, initial excitement - YES, let's work around the clock and get this out in a week.

But in a week or two things start to slow down. A bit of reality kicks in.

The more they work on their content, the more they understand the need for the bigger picture. For more clarity.

Suddenly, they don't want to invest any more time into making it happen. Instead, they turn to strategy.

And in most cases, the project dies down. 🤷‍♀️

That's what I call the "crash and burn" mistake.

When there is no solid vision and your whole project relies on the excitement of the moment, there will come a time when it will be too much and you won't understand WHY you're head-deep into it all...

And once there is no excitement, there suddenly is no drive 😩

And once the project is left behind, picking it up is A LOT harder.

So what can you do to avoid this happening to you?

👉 Create a solid plan and give yourself enough time. Creating a course in a week IS possible but won't do you any good with a solid strategy.

👉 If you need to FEEL the motion to keep going, focus on growing your mailing list (with a free Masterclass, for example) OR do a lower-priced simpler product just to see the $$$ coming in. Don't dive into course creation right away.

👉 Don't create extra pressure by wanting it all to be perfect. Your course have to go out to your audience before you will be able to finally make it the best it can be!

Your mailing list doesn't have to be big for a successful launch to happen!

Sample:

👉 My client had around 300 list readers with 45% open rate. The open rate is rather high since the list is small.

🤑 From 135 people that open emails regularly, 10 bought her latest course, that's 7%.

🙏 A good conversion rate for mailing lists is 3-5%. Hers was exactly 3% with the first intentional launch.

👆 The results are not madly spectacular per se. They range in the category of "normal".

So this serves as an amazing sample on how a smaller list can just as well make a payday for you!

First of all, it's important to HAVE A MAILING LIST and put intentional effort into growing it - both as you're about to launch something and at any other point in your business. Your mailing list can make or break your offer launch ✨

It's just as important to NOURISH YOUR LIST, provide them with valuable and useful guidance, give opportunities to get quick wins in their day-to-day efforts. This will build TRUST. They'll get to know who you are, what is your expertise and experience.

Weekly effort matters! If the first few weeks you'll be "just another email", eventually reading your emails will turn into habit 🔥

And once you'll be ready to launch a product, your list will be there, ready to receive the product.

❌ You don't need thousands of people in your list to sell.

✅ You can sell with 100 mailing list members just as well 🙏

Just remember to put intentional effort into making it happen!

Stop trying to increase your engagement with empty words that you don't mean and other side will not care about...

Invest time in actually building connections instead 🫶

❌ Don't start a conversation with "how are you doing" if we don't know each other

❌ Don't ask "how is your business?" if this is the first message you have sent me

Instead,

✨ Interact with content in a meaningful way

✨ Find what you have incommon and actually ENJOY that conversation (you know, on a human level)

It's actually that simple!

And don't get me wrong! I love connecting with people here and it's one of my all time fav things about Instagram.

But I don't want to waste my time pretending like you care how I'm doing if you followed me 5 mins ago 😭
