Digital product trends for 2025

Digital product trends for 2025

If you’re just stepping into the world of online income and are exploring creating your first or next digital product, start by exploring some of these digital product trends for 2025.

What’s in and what’s out when it comes to digital products?

What type of products people are leaning toward?

And the question of the day – what products will be the most profitable in 2025?

Truth be told, it always depends and I don’t believe in rock-solid trend predictions. However, as someone who has been in the digital product space for a decade, I see things.

This list of – probably somewhat biased – digital product trends for 2025 is originated from my own experience. It’s based on the trends I see in my own work and my client offers, it’s the discussions I keep seeing happening online – all of that combined.

Keep in mind though: through times, there have always been audience for ALL types of offers and products. To create a truly profitable product, you have to tap into your audience’s needs and what works the best for you. Don’t take these digital product trends as your single go-to guiding light. Instead, get some inspiration and see if either of these align with what you want to do.

Listen to this in a podcast episode here:

Please note that all of the digital product trends I’ve noted below are based on my personal experience and provides an insight in what I’ve noticed happening in the online space.

What type of an offer to create and what will sell the best will always depend on your offer suite, your ideal audience and your key goal in your business.

Digital product trend no.1: Smaller, more specific offers

Instead of long-term immersive programs that cover everything, a big part of the buyers prefer having smaller, more focused offers instead.

It’s not a discussion of the price point per se. Instead, this indicates more of that need to get faster solutions to the problem at hand.

As our days get busier, we just seek ways to get to the finish line faster.

And remember, if you have or plan to have a bigger program – you will still find people who’ll want and appreciate that! In some niches, it’ll always be the key go to so don’t get discouraged.

What can you take from this:

  • If you’re working on your first offer, consider starting with this intro offer instead of investing your time and energy into full course right away. This will help you to explore exactly how to work on your next-step product and will also serve your audience right away.

Digital product trend no.2: Normalizing low-ticket taster offers

Going hand in hand with the point above, digital product buyers are often interested in exploring what you’re all about with low-ticket taster offers.

This means that before investing more in your support – either it’s 1:1 coaching, a more high-end product or anything else – you should give your audience a chance to buy something for less so that they can quickly check out how you conduct your paid products.

This builds trust, enrolls them into your mailing list and helps you to sell more further.

Low-ticket taster offers would be, for example:

  • 20-min masterclass on a specific topic for $7
  • 5 lesson mini course for $27
  • Introductionary template or strategy guide for $7

It should provide a clear solution to what your audience needs the most and be a no-brainer.

What can you take from this:

  • Take a look at your current offer suite and consider if you’re giving your audience a simple option to get into your paid world with a low one-time payment
  • Evaluate if you already have any products that could take the place of this taster offer – you don’t always have to do something new
  • Understand that the key goal here is not to generate money but to get people into your space and learn more about you

Digital product trend no.3: Less content, more implementation

Let’s be honest. We’re all a bit too tired of content. From Instagram Reels to Tiktoks and podcast episodes, from masterclasses to courses and live Q&A sessions.

There’s always something more to watch, to learn, to get into.

And there’s not enough time and focus on actually IMPLEMENTING the knowledge you learn.

How many times have you listened to a great podcast, considering the suggestions given in there just to never look back at this information?

2025 is the year when implementation takes over – it’s not about the amount of content you provide in your offer, it’s all about how you help your audience to actually move forward.

Focus on understanding your audience’s starting point and providing the relevant information and guidance that will help them to take action steps.

This can be done in many different ways but one of the most effective ones is an action step at the end of each lesson.

What can you take from this:

  • Don’t overfocus on the amount or length of videos you want to add in your offer, instead always consider the action steps you’ll invite your audience to take and how you can support them with that

Digital product trend no.4: More testing, less rushing into things

You must have heard that you should test your ideas before making them happen but in 2025 we’re taking it a step further.

Real and raw content is the new normal.

It’s okay if your presentations are not pitch perfect or you work on your course along with your audience enrolling.

It’s not so much about pre-selling, it’s about creating throughout the process.

Especially if you’re in the beginning stages – don’t wait for the perfect moment, don’t expect your offer to be top notch before launching, don’t overthink the details. Focus on getting it out there!

What can you take from this:

  • Get into action and figure it out as you go!

Digital product trend no.5: Transparency

One of my favorite digital product trends in 2025 is the TRANSPARENCY.

Transparency of the creators about the process they’re working through.

Transparency about the numbers and expectations.

2025 is (yet another) year when we’re normalizing that it’s not all about sunshine and rainbow. There are projects that fail or take longer to pick up, there are times when sales are lower or slower. Even the most popular creators sometimes struggle.

And I love this transparency as it evens out the expectations.

Along with taking this as an inspiration for your journey, I also want to invite you to be more transparent as well.

Such stories and behind-the-scenes insights can bring a lot of interest into who you are, what you do and what your products are all about.

What can you take from this:

  • Don’t shy away from both – the good and not so good – in your business, build trust by being open with your audience
  • Let them join you in the creation process by taking them behind-the-scenes

Digital product trend no.6: Simplicity

Simple solutions go a long way.

You don’t need the most complex systems or high-end platforms – especially if you’re just starting out but also if you’ve been in the business for a while.

It’s okay to choose SIMPLE.

In one of my recent podcast episodes, I shared that my word of the year is SIMPLIFY.

Simplify the way I show up so it’s more aligned with what I want.

Simplify the backend setup and let go of the platforms I don’t find much use of.

Lower the monthly business expenses by seeking simpler and often even free solutions.

The simpler setup you have for your business, the easier it is to run it and enjoy the process. It’s also simpler to get started if you’re vary of all the tools and platforms you may need to learn. Keep it all simple instead!

What can you take from this:

  • Choose the simplest option when it feels aligned with you
  • Start simple – you don’t need to invest upfront to sell successfully. For example, on Payhip you can sell for the monthly fee of $0 for foreverr.

I hope this insight in the digital product trends for 2025 inspired you to take simple action and move forward step by step.

We’re letting go of perfection and stepping into transformative products that are designed to help specific audiences.
