4 ways to increase the course value
For most courses, the base material will be video content. However, if the video content itself doesn’t feel enough, maybe these ideas will help you to explore how you can increase the course value with other added elements.
As you’re going through these samples and considering what might be the best fit for your course, always make sure to keep in mind your ideal students and what will support their journey the most.
And before we dive into it, I also have to remind you that MORE doesn’t always mean a better experience. You’re not required to stuff your course with everything for it to bring the value.
IDEA no.1: Add Worksheets & Printables
Adding relevant worksheets or printables can be a great way how to elevate your user experience and expand your learning materials beyond video content. It’s also a good go-to if you want to increase the course value.
How to get started?
First of all, EVALUATE which lessons will find the added worksheet useful. Don’t add them just for the sake of it.
Then, see if any other printables besides worksheets might come in handy too. Those could be checklists, motivational posters or reminders, as well as calendars and similar helpful guides.

I personally love creating my workbooks in Google Docs vs having them on Canva, as per popular choice. Google Docs are easily editable for all of your students and will make the workbook a lot more functional, compared to often pretty but not so practical Canva designs.
IDEA no. 2: Have a community space for your students
Adding a space where your course students can share their journey can add a lot of value to your user experience without any additional time investment.
Your community space can also come in with content reviews or weekly office hours, you can also let your audience send in their questions that you later answer via short video recordings.
Your community space can be a Facebook group or your own forum on a platform like Circle.so. Many websites and course platforms also offer built-in forum spaces, for example, if you’re using Kajabi for your course, that might be the way to go Course platforms like Thinkific and Teachable also provide a community space these days. (Thinkific is one of my absolutely favorites for all of the digital products, especially the combo of courses with memberships)
Some creators also choose to create their communities in Slack or even do group Voxer support.
At first, it might be a bit of an uphill battle to get the engagement rate going but later, as you have more and more active members, you’ll find that your own participation is not as needed (although still can be incredibly valuable as well).
I personally suggest creating a community space anywhere BUT on Facebook. Facebook as a platform is very distracting and more and more people prefer actually not using it at all so having another dedicated space for your students might be the way to go.

IDEA no.3: Offer a complementary 1:1 consultation or strategy call
If you know your students might benefit from some added 1:1 attention, make sure to consider how this could be done.
Usually, this additional level of support is provided in the higher tier of the offer. In this case, the lower-level offer can focus on the product only and the higher-level tier can include one-on-one support.
If you feel like providing this option may overwhelm you, keep in mind that not all of your students would use this opportunity and if it does get too hard to handle, you can always restructure this idea.
Another way to go would be by offering an additional 1:1 support via Voxer which works a lot like Whatsapp but is easier to use for business owners (no need to share your phone number plus various other features).
Also, no doubt – this is an amazing way to increase the price for your offering as well!

IDEA no.4: Add templates and swipe copy
You can recreate your own content into templates and swipe copy that your students can use.
The easiest way to go is by starting with what you already have and the things you’re already using yourself.
- Can you slightly recreate your own presentation templates and add them within the course as an added template?
- Would your existing audience find your email copies helpful if you generalize some parts of it?
- Do you have a launch calendar or any other step-by-step layout they’d find useful?
Of course, if you want to take it to the next level, you can also outsource creation of a whole added template suite, if your audience might find it useful.
